Sonata Acoustic Doors by Sound Control are standardized as Rw 40 and Rw 45 Acoustic Rating. These ratings can be supplied in single leaf, double or sliding door configurations. Testing has been undertaken at the National Acoustics Laboratory as well as in-situ testing being carried out on all door types. Acoustic Door types are provided in either timber or steel construction with various options for surface finishes available. Typically Timber Rw 45 door systems are used in lecture and conference rooms, interview and recording room applications where the steel type door is commonly found in industrial buildings providing robust hard wearing capabilities. Door thicknesses range from 75mm – 150mm.
