Sonata Compressor Silencers are designed for atmospheric intake, discharge and pressure discharge applications. With mode of operation characteristically emitting high-frequency sounds, an absorptive design is utilized to attenuate the noise generated. These silencers are designed with minimum airflow restriction and pressure drop. Reciprocating compressor silencers typically require reactive-type silencing for low frequencies and use of multi-chamber silencers provide broad band attenuation. These silencers are typically fabricated in accordance with Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and are supplied with ANSI Flanges.
