Sonata Diffuser and Absorptive Silencers
The most important design aspect of the Sonata Vent Silencer is the inlet diffuser. The diffuser is effective in distributing the flow evenly through all of the splitter panels in the silencer. This 1st stage process also provides sound reduction. It
can also be designed to restrict back pressure upon any valve you may have upstream of the silencer. Flow through absorptive splitter panels (2nd stage) then takes some of the energy out of the gas stream, thus providing additional reduction. Typically, these silencers are excellent for control of high frequency noise levels.
