Sonata Vent and Blowdown Silencers are used throughout the world to control the noise associated with venting pressurized gases to atmosphere. Sound Control offers a wide range of standard and custom designs that are used in vent and blowdown applications for natural gas, steam, air or virtually any other pressurized gas. Design features of vent and blowdown silencers may include single or multiple inlets, multi-stage diffusers, and acoustically lined shells or absorptive splitter panels packed with mineral wool or fibreglass packing. Typical materials of construction are carbon and stainless steel but materials of higher alloy makeup can be used to provide longer service for applications with high temperature or corrosive environments.
