Ventilation of Tunnels is of high importance as well as noise mitigation from the source. To meet Noise Assessment Criterion, Sonata Tunnel Attenuators are commonly installed on either side of Tunnel Vent Fans which are situated in Ventilation Stations positioned at entry portals to the Tunnel or along the Tunnel length.

These particular Sonata attenuators are commonly designed for durability and longitivity that is common with Tunnel conditions when containment and dispersion of vehicle emissions is needed as well as high noise reductions of mechanical plant when Environmental Conditions are to be met. Either Shaft Splitter Modules or complete attenuator assemblies can be used in these instances with emphasis on design.
