Power Generation - Exhaust Silencers

Sound Control was contracted by MAN Diesel & Turbo Australia to design, engineer, fabricate and deliver to site (3) Engine Exhaust Silencers for each of the 51-60 (DF) duel fuel MAN Engines. Design criteria included maximum allowable backpressures of 30mbar and sound reductions of 30dB (A). Higher than specified noise performance results was achieved along with lower than design backpressures thus satisfying the client’s specification.
