Sonata HVAC Attenuators

HVAC Attenuators
Plantroom air inlet attenuators.

Air conditioning and ventilation systems generally employ centrifugal or axial flow fans to supply and exhaust air throughout buildings, such as multi-storey office blocks, laboratories or shopping centres. To achieve low ambient noise levels both internally and externally at a given resistance, Sonata duct silencers (with sound absorbing elements) are commonly used to reduce the fan noise and high duct velocities generated by the operating equipment. Square, Rectangular or Circular configurations are available with insertion loss reductions dictated by the length and closed area of the silencer.

Sound attenuation of ventilation systems, by their nature is usually restrictive to airflow and access, but the designs provided by Sound Control allow the equipment to perform to its full potential.

Sound Control can also provide clean Silencers with non-porous film to stop exfoliation of the fibres used in the splitter infill. These silencers can be steam cleaned as the film prevents the ingress of moisture, which also allows for use in moist environment.
